Folks,
It has been quite a while since I have been able to put in any time to update
this web site.
Since the last update message in 2007 the majority of activity has been
associated with the Class of ’78. They have branched off and decided to use
Facebook as their primary medium to exchange and share information. Click on
their link on the home page to see!
Lastly regarding the growth of the site, we have been approached by other
classes to join the site and have supplied them a proper response to outline
what it would take to get started and maintain a site for their class (you can
view the proposal on the main elkers site or click on the
site ad). While we await the response, some have responded
expecting the site build and maintenance to be less expensive and therefore
passed on the offer, which is fine. Just to keep it all in perspective though
there are annual maintenance and support costs along with dedication of personal
time associated with a project such as this. And keep in mind the more that
join the lower the cost per class and user would be. So it is our hope that
they will realize the fun and value this forum can provide and sign on. So do
your part in support of this site and please spread the word so we can get more
fellow Elkers on the site!
